To be able to verbalize the words &quot;these are Africans sorting out African problems in a typically African way&quot; is nothing short of narrow-minded, xenophobic, hate-speech. I suppose in Nazi Germany in WWII these were just Nazi’s sorting out Nazi problem’s in a Nazi way????

Surely we need to get over our ego centric selves at some point …Our little pathetic sports teams versus there sports teams, our country versus their country, our religion versus their religion, our tribe versus their tribe, etc etc  …when all this plays itself out…who will be left? The seeds to xenophobia do not appear when there are murders, rapes and worse…they are kindled in the hearts of people at these trivial minor levels before being expounded into the horrors we witness today on our streets. The cancer we see in our land is not the cause but the symptoms of a long silent hatred that has been festering under the surface.

I agree African has a legacy of violence, but does that mean we should sit back in our houses and say “Not my problem”.  Where would the world be today if NATO sat back in WWII and said not my problem? 

Can one person make a difference? Ask Edison, Einstein, Gandhi, Mandela, Mother Teresa, and the like...Do we need to accept Mayhem as the norm…If that’s your norm then by all means do not complain when your walls are breached and they come for you… 

Mr Addict, by all means ask people their views, but be sure to ask the people who this is really touching…the ones that are trapped in the wrong places at the wrong times…the one’s that cannot sleep because bullets are flying…the ones that dream of a better life but are faced with fear. 

To quote some words that also echo through history, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”.</description>
